Soccer Game Preview: Alvin vs. Dobie

The Alvin Yellowjackets will take on the Dobie Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alvin has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 23.

Alvin fell victim to Dawson and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 640th, while the Eagles are ranked 117th).

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Dobie sidestepped Sam Rayburn for a 3-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

Alvin's loss dropped their record down to 3-13-2. As for Dobie, the victory got them back to even at 9-9-3.
