Basketball Game Preview: Tomball Memorial Wildcats vs. Klein Forest Eagles

Tomball Memorial and Klein Forest are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Tomball Memorial Wildcats will welcome the Klein Forest Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tomball Memorial is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Tomball Memorial will head into Tuesday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 21) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 win over Klein Cain. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the Hurricanes are ranked 885th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Klein Forest's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 48-35 to Klein Oak. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Tomball Memorial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for Klein Forest, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Tomball Memorial beat Klein Forest 57-44 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will Tomball Memorial repeat their success, or does Klein Forest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
