Football Recap: Checotah Beats Eufaula for Their Second Straight Victory

If Eufaula wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Checotah, they should've done a better job of containing Cole Rolland. The Wildcats walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Ironheads on Friday with plenty of help from Rolland, who rushed for 100 yards and one TD, and also caught one touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards.

When it comes to explaining why Eufaula lost, don't look at Peter Lee. Despite the final result, he rushed for 163 yards and one score while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 45 yards and one TD.

The win made it two in a row for Checotah and bumps their season record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Eufaula, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Checotah didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-20 defeat against Inola on the 14th. Eufaula does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
