Recap: Quality Education Academy Fighting Pharaohs vs. Mt. Zion Prep Academy Warriors

If the Quality Education Academy Fighting Pharaohs were feeling good off their 60-40 takedown of the TPLS Christian Academy Lions on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Quality Education Academy took a 66-52 bruising from Mt. Zion Prep Academy on Saturday.

Makyiah Ward had an outrageously good game for Mt. Zion Prep Academy as she scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ward has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyla McFadden, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.

Quality Education Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Mt. Zion Prep Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quality Education Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Winston-Salem Christian National at 6:00 p.m. on February 24th. As for Mt. Zion Prep Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Shabach Christian Academy on Wednesday. One thing working in Mt. Zion Prep Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
