Recap: Petrolia Pirates vs. Christ Academy Warriors
The Petrolia Pirates won the last time they faced the Christ Academy Warriors, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Petrolia came out on top against Christ Academy by a score of 43-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Petrolia.
Petrolia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was London Rodgers, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. Alyssa Lands was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Petrolia's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-11. As for Christ Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Petrolia will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hirschi at 5:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Hirschi comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Christ Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
