Recap: Pearl-Cohn Firebirds vs. Siegel Stars        
        
		
            
 The Pearl-Cohn Firebirds's and the Siegel Stars's match  on Saturday was close at halftime, but the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds turned on the heat in the second half with 32  points. Pearl-Cohn put the hurt on Siegel with a sharp  64-44 win. Winning may never get old, but Pearl-Cohn sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
 Pearl-Cohn got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Ayanna Batey out in front who  scored 16 points along with six  rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her.  Erianna Thomas was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on ten points and ten  assists.
 Pearl-Cohn is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Siegel, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-5.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pearl-Cohn will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Beech at 6:00  p.m.  on January 9, 2024. Siegel will be home for the holidays to greet  Shelbyville Central at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Shelbyville Central is coming into the  match hot, having won their last five games.
