Mount Vernon came tearing into Friday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Lewis Lancers as they made off with a 17-4 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-3 back in April.

Talon Camacho was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Camacho was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played.

In other pitching news, Justin Kelly looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Sean Peterson was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Noah Toy was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Mount Vernon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis only posted an OBP of .450.

Mount Vernon's record now sits at 13-4. As for Lewis, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Mount Vernon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-5 victory against Edison on the 6th. As for Lewis, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-3 loss against Annandale on the 6th.
