Lilly Hauser was dynamite on Monday, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her sixth in a row with more than six strikeouts. This season, she has been strong no matter where she plays. On the mound, she has an ERA of 1.02 over 41 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat she has slashed 0.500/0.588/0.905 with 18 runs.

Hauser's strong effort led Murrieta Mesa over Chaparral and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams are a perfect 10-0 against the Pumas going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
