Softball Game Preview: Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers vs. East Hamilton Hurricanes

Howard Tech is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the East Hamilton Hurricanes at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Howard Tech is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They lost 14-6 to Chattanooga Central on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, East Hamilton didn't have quite enough to beat Silverdale Academy on Thursday and fell 4-3. The Hurricanes haven't had much luck with the Seahawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Jada Rutley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Faith Wadley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
