Thornton extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 21 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-13. They came up short against the Rich Township Raptors, falling 18-3. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Raptors from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Ashely Tobal was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.
As for Rich Township, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16th (when they won 30-3).
On Rich Township's side, Trinity Taylor was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Taylor was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kasidy Whitaker, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-2. Lyric Wise was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
While Thornton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
