Ahmed Ismail commands the offense for Titans win

Recap: Beamer Titans vs. Kent-Meridian Royals

The Beamer Titans's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 70-60 win over Kent-Meridian. Given Beamer's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Kent-Meridian is ranked 220th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Beamer got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ahmed Ismail out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ismail has scored all season. Will Tellis was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Beamer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Kent-Meridian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beamer will take on Kentlake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kentlake is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Kent-Meridian, they will be playing at home against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Jefferson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Friday.
