League recap: Southeastern climbs in standings with win

Scioto Valley recap September 4, 2013

Southeastern was the team made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to first in Scioto Valley. Earlier in the week, the Panthers defeated Northwest 19-17.

Huntington lost to Notre Dame 59-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Jeremy Farmer was the best wideout in the league this week as Piketon lost to Waverly. Farmer tallied 5 receptions for 43 yards. Stefan Thacker helped Piketon's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 27 yards.

John Bivens was the best running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 151 yards as the Redstreaks fell to the Tigers. Ethan Fremdner also contributed to the rushing game with 35 yards on the ground.

Bivens provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Piketon lost to Waverly.

Erique Hosley put up the best numbers through the air as Unioto lost to Vinton County. He finished with 2 completions for 36 yards.

Southeastern and the Mohawks played the closest game in Scioto Valley this week, with Southeastern eventually emerging with a 19-17 victory.
