It was a good run, but Briarcrest Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Houston Mustangs by a score of 2-1. If Briarcrest Christian were looking for revenge after losing 4-0 to Houston when the teams met back in April of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Briarcrest Christian's goal came courtesy of Grayson Baldridge, who's now up to nine this season.

Briarcrest Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Houston, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1-4.

Briarcrest Christian and Houston should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Saints (ranked ninth) will meet St. Benedict at Auburndale (ranked 55th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Houston will take on Harding Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (12 vs. 216).
