Recap: Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Warbirds vs. Richland Colts
The Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Warbirds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 51-42 to Richland. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Wyndmere/Lidgerwood of the 80-53 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2022.
Casyn Syvertsen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Richland, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. Syvertsen has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Wulfekuhle, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Wyndmere/Lidgerwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Richland, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wyndmere/Lidgerwood will take on Oakes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Richland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rothsay at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rothsay is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
