St. Pius X proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mansfield Homeschool Knights, sneaking past 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four games in a row.

St. Pius X pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Mansfield Homeschool, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2-1.

St. Pius X wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-4 defeat against East Ascension on the 6th. As for Mansfield Homeschool, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-2 win against Northland Christian on the 1st.
