Soccer Game Preview: Forney vs. Harker Heights

The Forney Jackrabbits will square off against the Harker Heights Knights on Monday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Forney sitting on 19 straight wins and Harker Heights on seven.

Forney is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Rowlett an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Jackrabbits have won 14 matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Rowlett with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kalani Brundage (4), Madalynn Putnam (2), Evelyn Rico, and Addison E. Smith.

Meanwhile, Harker Heights got the win against Cedar Hill on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The Knights are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the eighth game they've won by 3+ goals this season.

Forney pushed their record up to 20-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road. As for Harker Heights, their win bumped their record up to 14-5-2.

Everything went Forney's way against Harker Heights when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Forney made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forney since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
