Lovejoy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Walnut Grove Wildcats get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 back in March.

Lovejoy's victory bumped their record up to 20-7-2. As for Walnut Grove, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-11-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lovejoy will welcome McKinney North at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Walnut Grove, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Sherman at 6:45 p.m.
