Softball Recap: Chaminade Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Chaminade strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Moorpark Musketeers. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 17-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Finley Suppan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Casey Glantz was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyriel Fletcher, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one double.

Chaminade's record is now 3-0. As for Moorpark, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Chaminade has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Oak Park on the 5th. As for Moorpark, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Thousand Oaks at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
