Softball Recap: South Salem Comes Up Short

After flying high against Parkrose last Thursday, South Salem came back down to earth. The Saxons lost 14-1 to the Sprague Olympians on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Olympians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-5 two weeks ago.

South Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Sprague, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-11 record.

The future could be bright for both South Salem and Sprague: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Saxons will look to extend McKay's 14-game losing streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sprague will try to hand Parkrose their 14th-straight loss when the two meet at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
