Softball Recap: Cuyahoga Falls Comes Up Short at Home Against Roosevelt

Cuyahoga Falls unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Roosevelt Rough Riders by a score of 8-7 on Monday. The Black Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Rough Riders from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Madi Davis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of MJ Mastrodonato, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Cuyahoga Falls didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 victory against North Olmsted on the 27th. As for Roosevelt, they have also already played their next game, a 12-9 defeat against Streetsboro on the 29th.
