Basketball Game Preview: Freedom Prep Academy Eagles vs. Sheffield Knights

Freedom Prep Academy is on a five-game streak of home losses, Sheffield an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Freedom Prep Academy Eagles will host the Sheffield Knights at 7:30 p.m. Freedom Prep Academy has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Freedom Prep Academy turned things around against Bluff City on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-55 win over the Gray Wolves. Considering the Eagles' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Sheffield took a blow against Fairley on Tuesday, falling 89-27. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 79th).

The victory got Freedom Prep Academy back to even at 9-9. As for Sheffield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

Everything went Freedom Prep Academy's way against Sheffield in their previous meeting on January 14th, as Freedom Prep Academy made off with a 67-45 win. Will Freedom Prep Academy repeat their success, or does Sheffield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
