Football Game Preview: Muenster Hornets vs. Collinsville Pirates

Two dominant signal callers in Casen Carney and Paxton Davidson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Muenster Hornets will be playing at home against the Collinsville Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Muenster's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Santo 28-0. The victory was nothing new for the Hornets as they're now sitting on four straight.

Muenster's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Dustyn Croft, who picked up 60 receiving yards and one TD, and Maverick Bayer, who picked up 43 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Collinsville). They breezed past Era to the tune of 63-20 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won six in a row.

Muenster's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Collinsville, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
