Volleyball Recap: Brooks Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Brooks faced off against Central on Saturday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Lions' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Brylee Harrison paced Brooks' offense, picking up five kills. Harrison got some help from Ashlyn Richardson and her four assists. Laken Wilcoxson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Anna Neal was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven digs and two assists.

Brooks' defeat dropped their record down to 12-24. As for Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-10 record this season.

Brooks wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Mars Hill Bible on the 7th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lauderdale County on the 4th.
