Volleyball Recap: Ottawa Hills Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ottawa Hills came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the East Grand Rapids Pioneers. The loss continues a trend for the Bengals in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-14, 25-7.

East Grand Rapids' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Chapman, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Chapman has posted over her last six matches.

Ottawa Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for East Grand Rapids, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Ottawa Hills will venture away from home to challenge Cedar Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Grand Rapids, they will head out to take on Catholic Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
