Basketball Game Preview: Hamlin Pied Pipers vs. Hermleigh Cardinals

Hamlin hasn't had much luck against Hermleigh recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hamlin Pied Pipers will square off against the Hermleigh Cardinals. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hamlin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against Knox City by a score of 43-32. The Pied Pipers haven't had any issues with the Greyhounds recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Hermleigh took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 73-33 victory over Baird. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Hermleigh has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 31-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Hamlin, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Hamlin might still be hurting after the 59-39 defeat they got from Hermleigh in their previous matchup back in November of 2019. Can Hamlin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
