Recap: Forest Lake Academy Panthers vs. International Community Comets
The Forest Lake Academy Panthers posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged International Community out 51-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Forest Lake Academy.
Forest Lake Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Hodge, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. CJ Jena-Gilles was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
International Community lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Paxton Boaz, who scored 12 points along with two blocks. That's the first time this season that Boaz posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Slade Woodruff, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
The victory got Forest Lake Academy back to even at 7-7. As for International Community, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Forest Lake Academy will head out on the road to challenge Calvary Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for International Community, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against North Kissimmee Christian at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in North Kissimmee Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 matchups.
