Softball Recap: Trinity Prep Saints vs. Lyman Greyhounds
Trinity Prep took a 13-run loss the last time they faced off against Lyman, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trinity Prep Saints skirted past the Lyman Greyhounds 2-0. The Saints' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.

The result came thanks to Mckenna Hawley's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 18 Ks. Those 18 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Trinity Prep let Mercer Wilson and Emma Hartung run wild. Wilson scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Hartung scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Hartung has posted since back in April of 2024. Naomi Tanielian also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Trinity Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lyman only managed one hit.
Trinity Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Lyman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Prep will welcome The First Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lyman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Master's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Master's Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
