Baseball Recap: Malcolm Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

Malcolm won the last time they faced Raymond Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Clippers put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 12-1 win. The Clippers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by seven runs or more this season.

Malcolm let Logan Mcgreer and Mason Wisnieski run wild. Mcgreer went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base, while Wisnieski went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Mcgreer a new career-high. Carson Frank was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Malcolm kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.

Malcolm pushed their record up to 21-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Raymond Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.
