Football Recap: Rocklin Thunder vs. Grant Pacers
Rocklin and Grant squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Rocklin had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Grant Pacers by a score of 30-28. The Thunder lost against the Pacers in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 41-14 score last time.
Grant's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brandon Lambert, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown. Lambert's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 114 rushing yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Luke Alexander, who threw for 352 yards and four touchdowns.
Rocklin's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Grant, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-3.
Rocklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grant, they will head out to face off against Saint Francis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Saint Francis is on a five-game streak of home wins, Grant a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
