River won against Monroe Central on Monday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Pilots walked away with a 7-2 win over the Shadyside Tigers. For the Pilots, this counts as revenge for the 6-4 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for River and bumps their season record up to 4-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Shadyside, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

River will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
