Wonderview proved they can win big on Monday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Guy-Perkins Thunderbirds 3-2. The Daredevils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Thunderbirds, too.

Gavin Sponer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Sponer was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

Sponer wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Clint Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Wilson's first of the season.

The win got Wonderview back to even at 2-2. As for Guy-Perkins, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Wonderview will be playing in front of their home fans against Nemo Vista at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Guy-Perkins, they will venture away from home to take on Brinkley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
