Soccer Game Preview: Northwest vs. Waverly

The Northwest Mohawks will head out to challenge the Waverly Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest has given up an average of 6.9 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northwest had taken Piketon down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Mohawks lost 7-2 to the Redstreaks.

Meanwhile, Waverly fell victim to Minford and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 4-0. Waverly have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Waverly, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Northwest suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Waverly when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Mohawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
