Baseball Game Preview: Salisbury School Crimson Knights vs. Canterbury School Saints

For the second straight game, Salisbury School will face off against Canterbury School. The Crimson Knights will welcome the Saints at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Salisbury School 3.7, Canterbury School 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Salisbury School managed to slip by Canterbury School the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Crimson Knights came up short against the Saints on Tuesday, falling 8-1. The contest marked the Crimson Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Salisbury School got a good showing from Blake Taylor, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Taylor hasn't allowed a single hit since back in May of 2024.

On the hitting side, Thomas O'Connell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Canterbury School pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Salisbury School, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.
