Baseball Recap: Woodlan Takes a Loss

Woodlan and Adams Central squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Woodlan had to settle for second. They came up short against the Flying Jets, falling 10-2. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Flying Jets: they've now lost three in a row.

Drew Fleek made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Woodlan is 6-3 when Fleek posts two or more runs, but 7-12 otherwise.

Woodlan's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Adams Central, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9.

Woodlan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Adams Central, they will challenge Whitko at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Flying Jets surely won't give up without a fight.
