Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Righetti

The Centennial Golden Hawks will take on the Righetti Warriors at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Centennial's tournament run continued when they took on Monache on Friday. The Golden Hawks had just enough and edged out the Marauders 2-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Centennial's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Monache are ranked 436th).

Jaice Lundin and Hudson McDonald scored both of Centennial's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Righetti entered their tilt with Bakersfield on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Drillers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. That's two games straight that Righetti have won by just one goal.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 5-1-1. As for Righetti, their win bumped their record up to 6-1-1.
