Basketball Recap: Timberlake Extends Winning Streak to Three

Timberlake extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Tyler Engelson. The Timberlake Tigers came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 66-60 W against the Grangeville Bulldogs thanks in part to Engelson, who went 9 for 19 to rack up 32 points and eight boards. He is becoming a predictor of Timberlake's success: when he posts at least 25 points the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't).

Maximilian Simpson was another key player, putting up nine points along with six rebounds and six blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in blocks.

Timberlake's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Grangeville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Maries the next time they take the court. Timberlake will host St. Maries at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Grangeville will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
