Basketball Game Preview: Valencia Jaguars vs. Capital Jaguars

Valencia hasn't had much luck against Capital recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Valencia Jaguars will head out to take on the Capital Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Capital took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Valencia, who comes in off a win.

Valencia will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Centennial, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Valencia narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Centennial 52-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Jaguars have posted since December 19, 2023.

Meanwhile, Capital suffered their closest defeat since December 14, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Albuquerque Academy by a score of 56-53. The Jaguars have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Capital's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Valencia, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

Valencia came up short against Capital when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 53-48. Can Valencia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
