Ceres suffered their closest defeat since March 20, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Beyer Patriots by a score of 9-7. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Carson Ulrich was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Daniel Davis was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Ceres' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 15-4. As for Beyer, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6.
