Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Reds vs. Pine View Panthers

Cedar is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Hurricane: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Reds blew the Tigers out of the water with a 62-23 final score. That looming 62-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Reds yet this season.

Meanwhile, Pine View faced Desert Hills in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers pulled ahead with a 41-40 photo finish over the Thunder. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Cedar's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Pine View, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5.

Things could have been worse for Cedar, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-40 loss to Pine View in their previous matchup on January 8th. Can the Reds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
