Franklin Academy took care of business in their home opener on Thursday (and then some). Everything went their way against the Discovery Charter School Trailblazers as the Franklin Academy Patriots made off with a 46-22 win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rayne Bookhart, who had 11 points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Soles, who posted ten points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.
Franklin Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Neuse Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Discovery Charter School, they will challenge Carolina Friends at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
