Basketball Game Preview: Chilton County Tigers vs. Marbury Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Chilton County Tigers and the Marbury Bulldogs will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. Chilton County has given up an average of 74.5 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Chilton County fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Briarwood Christian on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 86-80 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (68), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Despite their loss, Chilton County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Brock Porter, who shot 70% from the field on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Thanks to that strong game, Porter now owns an excellent 54.2% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Meank, who went 8-for-17 to rack up 25 points.

Meanwhile, Marbury fought the good fight in their overtime game against Booker T. Washington on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 60-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles.

This is the second loss in a row for Chilton County and nudges their season record down to 1-3. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Marbury, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Chilton County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Marbury in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 72-67 win.
