Baseball Recap: Torrey Pines Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Torrey Pines can now relate to. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rancho Bernardo Broncos on Tuesday. The Falcons have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Torrey Pines saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Swanberg, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. Swanberg has become a key player for the Falcons: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 10-17 otherwise.

Torrey Pines' loss dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Rancho Bernardo, they pushed their record up to 18-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Torrey Pines nor the Broncos have any future games scheduled.
