Baseball Recap: Calvary Chapel Eagles vs. Fullerton Indians
Calvary Chapel had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 9-15-1 to make it four. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fullerton Indians. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-0 loss on Tuesday.
As for Fullerton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games.
For Fullerton's part, Evan Terrazas looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Terrazas has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Christian Robinson was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Mason Park also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Calvary Chapel will take on rival Tustin at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fullerton is set to face off against their familiar foe Laguna Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 4, the Hawks 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
