Glens Falls is a perfect 5-0 against Broadalbin-Perth since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Black Bears will welcome the Patriots at 4:30 p.m. Glens Falls is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

On Monday, Glens Falls needed a bit of extra time to put away Schuylerville. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Horses, sneaking past 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Isabella Johnson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over eight innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Johnson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Emma Stevens, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Broadalbin-Perth lost 16-2 to Scotia-Glenville on Monday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Glens Falls' victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Broadalbin-Perth, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Glens Falls has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Broadalbin-Perth struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
