It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Middleton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Mountain View Mavericks with a sharp 10-3 win. Considering the Vikings have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Middleton let Drew Holman and Grady Churchfield run wild. Holman went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Churchfield got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave Holman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jedsen Aldrich, who went 3-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Middleton's victory bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Mountain View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-7.

As of now, neither Middleton nor the Mavericks have any future games scheduled.
