The Orange Grove Bulldogs will face off against the Palacios Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Orange Grove is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Friday, Orange Grove was able to grind out a solid win over West Oso, taking the game 24-14. Those 24 points were actually the fewest the Bulldogs have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Orange Grove found their leader in sophomore Daniel Bahn, who rushed for 142 yards and a pair of scores. Bahn is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Orange Grove, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Bahn, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Palacios lost to Goliad on the road by a 31-14 margin on Friday. The Sharks haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Orange Grove will have to contain Alex Weaver as he made an impact in Palacios' last game. He rushed for 129 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 167 yards and one TD.
Orange Grove's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Palacios, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Orange Grove has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 234.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Palacios struggles in that department as they've been averaging 214.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Orange Grove against Palacios in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 46-13 win. In that contest, the Bulldogs amassed a halftime lead of 26-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
