Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stockbridge). They secured a 76-72 W over the Woodland Wolfpack on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their 12-game losing streak.
Stockbridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jason Brookins, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 18 points. That's the most points Brookins has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cameron Niles, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Woodland's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Omari Scott, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. Scott's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sekou Reid, who went 6 for 11 en route to 18 points.
Stockbridge's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14. As for Woodland, they dropped their record down to 10-12 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
