Baseball Game Preview: Braham Bombers vs. Pine City Dragons

The Braham Bombers will head out to take on the Pine City Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Braham's last matchup with Crosby-Ironton could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Bombers lost 11-3 to the Rangers.

Meanwhile, Pine City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ogilvie.

Darrien Rodriguez and Jaxon Karas did some serious damage despite the final result: Rodriguez got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run, while Karas went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacob Staber, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Braham now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Pine City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything went Braham's way against Pine City in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Braham made off with a 16-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
