Soccer Recap: Freeman Comes Up Short

Freeman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Maggie Walker. Freeman were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Maggie Walker apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Freeman now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Maggie Walker, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freeman will square off against J.R. Tucker at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Maggie Walker, they will take on Deep Run at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Deep Run's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Maggie Walker's offense will have their work cut out for them.
