Recap: Pelham Panthers vs. Prattville Lions
The Prattville Lions typically have all the answers at home, but on Thursday the Pelham Panthers proved too difficult a challenge. Pelham secured a 57-53 W over Prattville. The win was all the more spectacular given Pelham's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Prattville is ranked 34th).
Pelham was led to victory by Karma Wynn and Tee King. Wynn scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds, while King scored 26 points along with 5 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which King has scored at least 25% of Pelham's points.
The win was the third in a row for Pelham, bringing their record for this year to 5-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Prattville, they bumped their record down to 6-1 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Pelham will head out on the road to face off against Hueytown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prattville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dothan at 5:00 p.m. on December 1st.
